NIO Firefly Club Spiaggia Debuts as Limited-Run EV
A China-market edition inspired by the Italian coast, featuring blue paintwork, white multi-spoke wheels, exclusive decals and beach-club cabin details
NIO’s Firefly brand launched the new Club Spiaggia special edition in China on Friday, limiting the model to 666 units. The car is priced at 135,800 yuan, or about $20,030, and is already available for purchase, with display vehicles scheduled to arrive at Firefly stores across China from August 29.
Under NIO’s BaaS battery-rental plan, the upfront purchase price falls to 95,800 yuan, paired with a monthly battery fee of 399 yuan. Even so, the Club Spiaggia sits clearly above the rest of the range: it costs 16,000 yuan more than the base Free Edition, a 13.4% premium, and 10,000 yuan more than the Glow Edition.
The special edition takes its visual cue from the southern Italian coast, adopting blue paintwork, exclusive decals and white multi-spoke wheels. Inside, Firefly adds light-coloured themed seats, full-width floor mats and dedicated infotainment wallpaper, while cabana-style striping and orange accents carry the beach-club theme across both exterior and cabin.
Mechanically, the Club Spiaggia remains aligned with the standard Firefly. The brand’s website lists the same 42-kWh battery and 420-kilometre CLTC range as other versions, and Firefly has not announced any powertrain or battery-performance upgrades. That leaves the price uplift squarely tied to design, scarcity and lifestyle positioning.
The Club Spiaggia is Firefly’s sixth special edition, following Nomadic Maillard, Night Creature, Pegasus Rhapsody, Retro Futurism and Pixel Player. For a brand currently built around a single production model, the rapid cadence of limited-run derivatives keeps showroom interest alive while giving NIO a low-risk way to test how far customers will pay for personality, scarcity and design-led differentiation.
