McLaren: the brand's first SUV arriving in 2028

McLaren unveils plans for the P47, a f ive-seat hybrid V8 SUV due in 2028, sized like a Cayenne Turbo GT and aimed at exotic performance with bold design  British supercar maker McLaren has taken another step toward expanding its lineup. At a dealer gathering on 11 November at McLaren’s Creation Centre, the company outlined its first SUV, known internally as P47, which is slated to reach the market in 2028.  The P47 will seat five and use a hybrid powertrain built around a V8. Nio is reportedly set to supply batteries to British supercar brand McLaren

The Chinese EV maker will develop and supply power batteries for McLaren's hybrid models , according to a report by China media. The battery pack will be based on Nio's in-house developed 4680 large cylindrical battery cells, with small-scale production expected to begin next year , the report said  Nio is reportedly set to supply batteries to British supercar brand McLaren, reigniting its efforts in battery research and manufacturing . The Chinese electric vehicle maker will develop and supply power batteries for McLaren's hybrid models, according to a report by China media.
