On the evening of May 21, during the Xiaomi “Human x Car x Home” event, Xiaomi officially unveiled its YU7 GT, marking the smartphone maker's foray into a more premium automotive segment.  The YU7 GT is equipped with Xiaomi's next-generation HyperEngine V8s EVO. Its dual-motor system delivers a combined maximum output of 738 kilowatts , equivalent to 990 horsepower (1003 Ps-1003,4 Cv).  This motor achieves a maximum speed of 28,000 rpm and utilises a self-developed silicon carbide (SiC) power module, increasing power by 5.9%. With ultra-thin 0.15 mm stator and rotor silicon steel sheets, the motor boasts an efficiency of 98.38%.  The YU7 GT can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.92 seconds . Contrary to the expected development trend, the market sales of the SU7 Ultra, launched on February 27, 2025, showed a pattern of starting high and then declining.   From March to August, monthly sales consistently ranged between 2,000 and 3,000 units and finally settling at under 45 units by last month   Sales of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, a high-performance variant of the SU7 electric sedan, plummeted to just 45 units in December 2025.
