SAIC-owned MG started sales of ES5 electric crossover in China with a starting price of 116,900 yuan (16,300 USD). ES5 offers an e-motor in the rear axle for 125 kW (168 hp) with two battery options: 40.1 kWh (CLTC range: 425 km) and 62.2 kWh (525 km)  The MG ES5 is a new compact SUV that adopts the brand’s latest design language. It has sharp LED running lights and an aggressive front bumper. The dimensions are 4476/1849/1621 mm with a wheelbase of 2730 mm. It rides on R17 or R18 wheels. SAIC-owned MG is very proud of the ES5’s center of gravity of just 530 mm.  The brand’s officials highlighted they’ve reached such a number because of the world’s slimmest with a height of 110 mm.
