The all-electric two-door sports car enters China’s regulatory pipeline in three variants , combining tri-motor output, high-speed capability and premium performance cues ahead of its expected market debut. BYD’s premium brand Denza has taken a significant step toward launching the Denza Z, its first fully electric two-door sports car, after the model appeared in the latest vehicle filing from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The regulatory listing confirms that the car will be offered in three configurations: a hardtop, a soft-top convertible and a performance-focused variant. All three variants use a tri-motor powertrain comprising one front motor and two rear motors, with peak outputs of 500 kW, 340 kW and 340 kW respectively. Combined peak output reaches 1,180 kW, or 1,582 hp (1.604,35 Cv), placing the Denza Z firmly in the upper tier of the high-performance EV segment.
