Nio launches ES6 Milestone Edition commemorating the upcoming 300,000 deliveries

On October 17, the Chinese EV maker announced the launch of a new variant of its ES6 electric SUV, the ES6 Milestone Edition, to commemorate the SUV's upcoming milestone of 300,000 units delivered later this month 

Chinese EV maker Nio has released the new ES6 Milestone Edition, marking the milestone of 300,000 cumulative ES6 deliveries later this month since the model’s launch. The company announced the edition on November 17 along with pricing details. Nio announced the 300,000th ES6 rolled off the production line on November 1. It has not yet announced the delivery of the milestone vehicle. 

According to Nio, this edition introduces exclusive design touches and upgrades several previously optional features to standard equipment. The standard configuration includes 20-inch multi-spoke “woven snow” wheels, the Nomi Mate 3.0 voice assistant, a so-called “queen passenger seat”, the Moon theme package, and an ambient-lighting suite. 

The Milestone Edition adds exclusive “Milestone Edition” branding, including a dedicated rear badge, door sill plates and matching interior headrest embroidery. These additions differentiate the commemorative model from the ES6 variants launched earlier this year. 

The ES6 Milestone Edition starts at 349,800 yuan ($49,240), including a 100-kWh battery pack. This represents an increase of 11,800 yuan ($1,660), or 3.49 percent, over the standard ES6's starting price of 338,000 yuan ($47,320). 

Under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) purchase plan, the ES6 Milestone Edition starts at 241,800 yuan ($34,000) with a monthly battery rental fee of 1,128 yuan ($159). The standard ES6 under the BaaS plan starts at 230,000 yuan ($32,200) with the same monthly battery rental fee of 1,128 yuan. 

Nio also announced limited-time incentives: users who lock in orders before November 30, 2025 will receive one year of free battery swapping (48 swap vouchers) and may exchange benefits for an AC charging/discharging kit. Additional perks include five-year free NOP+, 50% discounts on optional features and a Guangzhou  Auto Show purchase package. 

ES6 Milestone Edition display models have arrived at Nio showrooms, with deliveries set to commence on November 18. Nio's website indicates a 2-3 week delivery wait for both the standard ES6 and ES6 Milestone Edition. 

As Nio's second mass-produced model following the ES8 SUV, the ES6 has been the EV maker's best-selling model for several years. The ES6 has been one of Nio’s highest-volume vehicles. 

The model was unveiled in December 2018 and began customer deliveries in June 2019. The latest generation of the ES6 went on sale in May this year. T

he powertrain of the ES6 remains unchanged for the Milestone Edition. The dual-motor system produces 360 kW and 700 Nm of torque. Battery options include 75 kWh, 100 kWh, and 150 kWh packs, with a maximum range of up to 930 km, depending on the configuration. Nio continues to offer a battery-swap compatible layout, as well as the option to purchase the vehicle with or without the battery.

NIO’s 100,000-order surge signals a fresh fightback in China’s EV Market
