The premium EV brand under Geely, has released teaser images of the 007 GT wagon, its second shooting brake-style model after the Zeekr 001. The new model shares its platform and powertrain configurations with the 007 sedan and is scheduled for the second quarter 2025. GT stands for Grand Tour, Zeekr said
Zeekr, the premium chinese EV brand under Geely Zeekr, the premium Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, has shared the first three images of the Zeekr 007 GT, its second shooting brake-style model after the Zeekr 001, as it seeks to solidify its position in the shooting brake model segment. GT stands for Grand Tour, Zeekr said. The Zeekr 007 GT is a derivative of the 007 sedan and adopts the same front-end design as the sedan. The side profile shows a more elongated body with a gentler roofline slope than the sedan, providing additional rear cargo space and improved second-row headroom. Key design elements include a roof-mounted spoiler, full-width taillights, and five-spoke wheels. Roof rails are visible, suggesting the vehicle can accommodate external storage solutions. The Zeekr 007 GT maybe named the Zeekr 7 GT in overseas markets.
The 007 GT shares its platform and powertrain configurations with the 007 sedan. The rear-wheel-drive version features a single 310 kW motor, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The all-wheel-drive version combines a 165 kW front motor and a 310 kW rear motor for a total output of 375 kW, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.84 seconds. The model operates on Zeekr’s 800V electrical architecture, which supports fast charging. Depending on the configuration, battery options include LFP and NMC types, offering CLTC ranges between 616 km and 870 km. Charging capabilities allow an increase of 500 km in range within 15 minutes. The Zeekr 001 shooting brake, which initially went on sale on April 15, 2021, is Zeekr's first model. The Zeekr 001 has been one of Zeekr's main sellers since its launch, delivering 76,246 units in 2023, contributing to 64 percent of Zeekr's 118,685 deliveries for the year. In January-November 2024, the Zeekr 001 delivered 92,289 units, contributing 47.34 percent of Zeekr deliveries in the same period. Zeekr delivered a record 27,190 vehicles in December, bringing full-year deliveries to 222,123 units. A breakdown of December deliveries for its different models is not yet available.
The company officially launched the Zeekr 007 electric sedan on December 27, 2023, its first model aimed at the mainstream EV market. The Zeekr 007 delivered 44,451 units from January-November 2024, contributing 22.80 percent of Zeekr deliveries in the same period. Building shooting brake models based on sedans has become a common move for local EV makers. Nio launched the ET5 Touring on June 15, 2023, based on the regular ET5 electric sedan. Zeekr CEO Andy An has outlined the company’s 2025 product roadmap, including releasing three new vehicles. The 007 GT is scheduled for the second quarter, followed by a full-size flagship SUV in the third quarter and a mid-to-large luxury SUV in the fourth quarter. The Zeekr 007 GT will join the growing wagon segment and is expected to compete with models like the Nio ET5 Touring.
