NIO’s ONVO L60 Hits 110,000 Deliveries as 2026 Model Boosts Sales Momentum

NIO’s family-focused electric SUV marked a key production milestone in Shanghai, supported by stronger August demand, a lower-priced 2026 update, improved technology features and leading residual value performance in China’s midsize EV segment 

ONVO delivers the 110,000th L60 to user

On Aug. 28, NIO’S ONVO brand officially announced in Shanghai that its flagship model, the ONVO L60, had reached 110,000 vehicle deliveries. The milestone came about 23 months after deliveries of the L60 began on September 28, 2024, and also showed that sales of the model rebounded significantly in August. 

The ONVO L60 was launched as the first model introduced after the ONVO brand entered the market. It has remained among the top three best-selling midsize all-electric SUVs in China’s RMB 200,000 ($29,760) price segment.

The 2026 ONVO L60 officially went on sale on June 11, bringing another round of price adjustments and equipment upgrades. The new model starts at RMB 192,800 ($28,710) for outright purchase, RMB 14,000 ($2,084) less than the previous version. Under NIO’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) battery-leasing option, the entry price falls further to RMB 135,800 ($20,220). 

Beyond the lower price, the updated model receives a range of functional and hardware upgrades across six areas, including intelligent driving, cockpit interaction and overall comfort features. In addition to sales performance, the L60’s residual value has become another notable aspect of the model.  

The model is available in 3 variants — Pro, Max+ and Ultra+. The entry-level Pro variant continues to use a vision-only system powered by an Nvidia Orin-X chip with 254 TOPS of computing power. The Max+ and Ultra+ variants are powered by Nio's in-house-developed Shenji NX9031, a 5-nanometer automotive-grade assisted-driving chip, and use the Nio World Model (NWM) architecture. 

The updated L60 is built on a 900-volt high-voltage platform and supports battery swaps in 3 minutes. Its 60-kWh and 85-kWh battery packs offer maximum CLTC ranges of 560 kilometers and 740 kilometers, respectively. 

According to data from the China Automobile Dealers Association, the ONVO L60 had a one-year residual value retention rate of 74.92%. This ranks first among midsize all-electric SUVs in China in the first half of 2026. ONVO’s overall delivery performance has also shown strong growth. In July 2026, ONVO delivered 10,155 new vehicles across its lineup, up 69.9% year over year. The L60 accounted for 4,949 of those deliveries, representing 48.7% of the brand’s monthly total and remaining its primary sales driver. From January to July 2026, ONVO delivered a cumulative 52,618 vehicles, up 39.1% year over year.

The Chinese automaker’s new kei EV is showing early momentum in one of Japan’s most protected vehicle segments, with demand driven largely by existing mini-car owners and second-car buyers  BYD Racco has gained strong early traction following its launch. 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show: what’s new

The 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, or Auto Guangzhou 2025, run f rom November 21 to 30 featuring 93 new models making their debut, surpassing the 78 unveiled in 2024. November 21 is media day, open only to press and invited guests. The general public can visit from November 22 to 30.  The total number of exhibited vehicles will be 1,085, including 629 new energy vehicle (NEV) models, or 58 percent. Major i nternational automotive brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Kia will participate in the event. Chinese domestic automakers including Nio, Xpeng, Xiaomi EV, and Li Auto, along with Chinese companies such as CATL and Huawei, will also participate.  The Guangzhou auto show, launched in 2003 , is held annually in November , unlike the biennial Shanghai and Beijing auto shows.
