SAIC Motor officially opened pre-sales in China for the all-new MG4 EV hatchback

Prices start at 73,800 yuan ($10,270) , with four variants immediately available and a semi-solid-state battery version slated for pricing announcement in September and deliveries before year-end MG Motor, a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, has started pre-sales of the redesigned MG4 compact EV hatchback in China. The all-new MG4 is available for pre-order starting at 73,800 yuan ($10,270), a 47.21 percent reduction from the starting price of 139,800 yuan for its predecessor. The model will offer a variant with semi-solid-state batteries, with pricing to be announced in September and mass production set to begin later this year. The new MG4 measures 4,395 mm in length , 1,842 mm in width, and 1,551 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase—an increase over the previous generation.  Exterior updates include a redesigned LED-backlit MG logo , arrow-shaped LED taillights, and six available colours, such as Donglai Purple and Coral Red. SAIC Motor and Volkswagen Group extend joint venture agreement to 2040

On November 26 , marking the 40th anniversary of SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC Motor and Volkswagen Group signed an agreement in Shanghai to extend their joint venture SAIC Volkswagen until 2040  Left, Wang Xiaoqiu, Chairman of Saic Motor.
