Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio, has launched new special edition variants for its L90 large EV Suv to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Year of the Horse, following a similar move for the L60 EV Suv. Onvo has named the two new L90 variants the "Ma Dao Cheng Gong" (马到成功) edition, a Chinese phrase signifying blessings for success and smooth progress, mirroring its approach with the L60 midsize Suv last week.

The L90 special edition offers Max and Ultra options: both special edition variants are exclusively available with a 6-seat configuration and do not apply to the 7-seat variant. They come standard with exclusive horse-themed interior and exterior styling packages, with display models now available at Onvo stores.

The L90 special edition offers Max and Ultra options, starting at 296,800 yuan ($42,620) and 316,800 yuan ($45,428) respectively. The Max variant costs 31,680 yuan, or 11.66%, more than the standard Pro variant priced at 265,800 yuan. It commands 27,980 yuan, or 6.08%, more than the standard Max variant priced at 279,800 yuan.

Under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan, the starting prices for the two special edition options are 210,800 yuan ($30,228) and 230,800 yuan ($33,096) respectively, with a monthly battery rental fee of 899 yuan ($130).

The Onvo L90 large Suv was launched on July 31, 2025, rapidly turning into one of Nio’s bestselling cars. The Onvo L90 is a full-size crossover with dimensions of 5145/1998/1786 mm and a 3,110 mm wheelbase. The drag coefficient is 0.25 Cd.

This Suv boasts a 240L front trunk (frunk): this frunk can accommodate two 20-inch suitcases plus a children’s luggage and backpack, or a single 30-inch check-in luggage. According to Onvo, it’s spacious enough to hold a week’s worth of family groceries. Additionally, the rear trunk offers 430L of space (including 106L of hidden storage), further enhancing the vehicle’s utility for family users.

This refrigerator consumes 2 kWh of power per week and remains operational even when the vehicle is locked.

Entertainment options include a 17.3-inch 3K high-definition ceiling entertainment screen and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen with dual desktop options. The L90 features a standard Onvo Sound Premium system with 23 speakers with a maximum output of 2048W. The system boasts 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos certification.
