Zeekr 7X is avalaible for pre-sales in Europe. First deliveries in summer 2025

The Chinese EV maker Zeekr announced that the 7X Suv is avalaible for pre-sales in Europe: in the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway, with first customer deliveries expected in the summer of 2025

The Zeekr 7X was launched in China on September 20, and is Zeekr's second model for the mainstream EV market after the Zeekr 007 sedan, with deliveries beginning on September 21. The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker today announced that the Zeekr 7X is available for pre-sales in Europe, with orders now being taken in the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway, and first customer deliveries expected in the summer of 2025.  The model available in Europe measures 4,787 millimeters in length, 1,650 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. For comparison, the Zeekr 7X in China measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,656/1,666 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm. Designed by Zeekr's global design center in Gothenburg, Sweden, the Zeekr 7X utilizes the same Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) modular vehicle architecture as the Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr X compact Suv.

The Zeekr 7X is available in Europe in three variants -- Premium, Long Range, and Performance -- the first two being single-motor rear-wheel-drive models, and the last being a dual-motor four-wheel-drive model. The Premium and Long Range models have a single 310 kW (421 PS) / 440 Nm motor on the rear axle and have an estimated range of 480 km and 615 km respectively. The Performance model has two electric motors integrated on the front and rear axles, with a total output of 470 kW (639 PS), instantaneous torque of 710 Nm and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The Premium model uses Zeekr's Golden Battery, a 75-kWh battery pack with LFP cells, while the Long Range and Performance models use a 100-kWh battery pack with NMC cells.

The car is built on an 800 V high-voltage architecture with peak charging power of up to 480 kW. Using today's common 360 kW fast chargers, the Zeekr 7X Premium can be recharged to 10-80 percent in 13 minutes, and the Long Range, Performance models in 16 minutes, said the company. The model starts at 52,990 euros ($55,710) in the Netherlands, 529,000 Swedish kronor ($48,240) in Sweden and 539,900 Norwegian kronor ($48,360) in Norway. The higher prices in Europe are mainly due to factors including tariffs and transportation costs. “The Zeekr 7X will play a key role in our mission to accelerate the shift to sustainable mobility in Europe,” said Lothar Schupet, Zeekr Europe Chief Commercial Officer.

In Europe, the Chinese EV maker began pre-sales of the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X there in June 2023, with deliveries beginning last December. To date, Zeekr has rolled out the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X in Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany. In first 10 months of 2024 Zeekr sold in Europe 896 Zeekr 001 and 647 Zeekr X, according to JATO Dynamics’ data. Zeekr is a Chinese high-end NEV brand launched by Geely in 2021. In May this year, Zeekr raised 441 million USD on a New York IPO. Its current model line comprises six vehicles. And the Geely-backed brand’s cumulative sales from January to October 2024 reached 167,922 units. Its current bestseller is the Zeekr 001 shooting brake. However, the recently launched Zeekr 7X aims to become the brand’s new hot seller.
