Mazda increases production of the EZ-6 to meet demand in China

It is available in fully electric (BEV) and range-extended (EREV) versions. The design follows Mazda’s signature “Kodo” language, featuring split headlights, LED daytime running lights, and an illuminated Mazda logo. Two new colors, “moon grey” and “radiant gold,” use nano-grade pigments to enhance its appearance.

Production at Changan Mazda’s Nanjing factory has been ramped up to meet demand. The EZ-6 measures 4,921 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,485 mm in height, with a 2,895 mm wheelbase. 

The cabin features a 14.6-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, and a 50-inch AR heads-up display (AR-HUD) powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, which integrates climate, seat adjustments, and entertainment functions. Additional highlights include 13 ambient scene modes, a 64-color lighting system, a 14-speaker Sony audio system, and zero-gravity reclining front seats. Mazda has mounted the drive selector on the steering column, freeing space on the center console, which includes two wireless phone charging slots.

The EV version is powered by a 190 kW rear motor with two battery options, delivering ranges of 480 km or 600 km (CLTC). Charging from 30% to 80% takes just 15 minutes. The EREV model includes a 1.5L engine generating 70 kW with a 160 kW motor, offering electric ranges of 130 km or 200 km and a maximum combined range of up to 1,301 km. Charging from 30% to 80% takes 20 minutes, making it versatile for long-distance travel.
