China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has confirmed full specifications for the Xiaomi YU7 GT, a high-performance variant of the company's best-selling electric SUV, ahead of an expected 2026 launch in the Chinese market.
The vehicle’s general info was first exposed by the regulatory filing last month. A second MIIT filing published on March 19, 2026 confirmed the YU7 GT's battery and range details, building on an initial regulatory submission from February 6.
Together, the filings place the YU7 GT among the highest-output electric SUVs submitted for homologation in China to date. The powertrain pairs a 288 kW front motor with a 450 kW rear unit supplied by Suzhou Inovance Automotive and Xiaomi Auto Technology, for a combined system output of 738 kW (990 hp/1.003,4 Cv) — a 45% increase over the 508 kW YU7 Max. Top speed is listed at 300 km/h (186 mph), with a second configuration limited to 270 km/h (168 mph) also noted in the filing. Acceleration has not been confirmed in the filings.
The YU7 GT is equipped with a 101.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack with cells supplied by CATL and assembled by CATL. The pack weighs 666 kg. CLTC-rated range is 650 km (404 miles) in the base configuration and 705 km (438 miles) in the higher variant — down from the 760 km (472 miles) offered by the YU7 Max, a trade-off against the GT's substantially greater output.
The YU7 GT measures 5,015 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width, and 1,597 mm in height, on a 3,000 mm wheelbase — marginally larger than the standard YU7's 4,999 × 1,996 × 1,600 mm footprint. Curb weight stands at 2,460 kg, only 55 kg heavier than the Max variant. The GT rides on staggered 265/40 R21 front and 295/35 R21 rear tires, and the MIIT images show red brake calipers.
Visually, the YU7 GT adopts a sleek, coupe-SUV silhouette. The front fascia is characterised by a full-width LED light strip and sharply designed headlights, complemented by a flowing hood. A lidar module is seamlessly integrated into the roof. The side profile is accentuated by large, wide wheel arches, multi-spoke sport wheels, and red brake callipers. It still has a hidden door handle design.

At the rear, a full-width taillight design mirrors the front, with “XIAOMI” and “YU7 GT” badging displayed. The rear bumper features a diffuser-style design, incorporating dual-outlet vent-like elements.
Xiaomi is offering an extensive options menu: multiple wheel designs, caliper colors in red, purple, blue, green, and yellow, varying spoiler configurations, and lightning-bolt body decals — a broader customization palette than seen on the standard YU7 lineup. Pricing has not been announced. Market estimates from multiple outlets place the YU7 GT in a range of 450,000–500,000 yuan (c. $65,300–$72,600), which would position it below the SU7 Ultra's approximately 500,000 yuan starting point. Whether the GT will be the ceiling of the YU7 range or precede a more powerful Ultra variant remains unconfirmed.
The YU7 GT is expected to debut officially at Auto China 2026 in Beijing in April, alongside the SU7 L sedan and YU9 large SUV. Reports also suggest the GT may become Xiaomi's first model sold in Europe, where the company has confirmed vehicle validation work in Germany ahead of a planned 2027 market entry.
