Dreame Auto unveiled new teaser images of its first EV supercar
Dreame Technology, a well-known Chinese home appliances maker, including vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, and robotic mops, shared ew teaser images of its first vehicle under the “Starry Sky Plan,” confirming that the model will be officially unveiled at CES 2026 in January
Dreame Technology has unveiled new render images of its inaugural vehicle, an ultra-luxury pure electric supercar poised to challenge the likes of Bugatti.
Founded in December 2017, Dreame is headquartered in Suzhou, Jiangsu -- a neighboring city to Shanghai. Its product portfolio spans robotic vacuum cleaners, cordless vacuums, smart floor scrubbers, high-speed hair dryers, and robotic lawn mowers, with sales spanning over 120 countries and regions, according to its website.
Dreame formally announced its entry into the automotive manufacturing sector on August 28, marking a rare new entrant amid China's tightening of vehicle production qualifications in recent years. Dreame's first model will be an ultra-luxury pure-electric vehicle benchmarked against the Bugatti Veyron, planned to enter the market in 2027, according to a statement at the time.
Currently, Dreame has assembled an automotive team of nearly 1,000 personnel and continues to expand, the company emphasized. Dreame Technology has built its reputation on high-speed digital motor technology, achieving a world-first certification from Sullivan for its 200,000 RPM digital motor this year. This technology, currently deployed in the company’s flagship Z50 Station vacuum cleaner, will now power Dreame’s dream to make “the world’s fastest car.”
“The luxury automotive sector has been missing a truly intelligent electric hypercar brand,” said in Dreame’s declaration. “While traditional ultra-luxury brands like Bugatti and Bentley have been slow to embrace electrification and intelligence, Dreame will redefine what constitutes ultra-luxury in the next automotive era.”
Based on the teaser images released so far, the vehicle appears to be a pure-electric supercar. The model features a long and low body structure, with pronounced front and rear fenders that contribute to a wide stance. The front lighting signature comprises four horizontal daytime running light elements, while the front bumper features large air intake openings and side aero elements.
From the side, the vehicle features large side wing endplates and a hidden A-pillar design that visually extends the windshield into the roofline. The car is fitted with six-spoke, petal-style wheels secured by a six-bolt hub structure. The braking system is expected to use carbon-ceramic components, based on visible design cues in the teaser images. However, this has not been officially confirmed.
At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with a large fixed rear wing featuring downward-extending endplates on both sides. The taillights use a full-width layout, with an internal three-dimensional dot-matrix lighting structure. The rear bumper integrates a large dual-layer diffuser, which is designed to enhance ground effect and increase rear downforce.
No official technical specifications have been released. Dreame Auto has not disclosed information regarding motor configuration, battery capacity, driving range, or production details. However, the vehicle is expected to adopt a pure electric powertrain with a maximum output exceeding 1,000 horsepower and to use refrigerant-based forced cooling technology, with the electric drive system cooled to approximately 15 degrees Celsius. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is likely to be below 1.8 seconds. These figures were described as expectations rather than confirmed specifications.
The CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2026 in Las Vegas, US (January 6-9) debut follows earlier disclosures about Dreame’s broader automotive ambitions. It will develop two separate car series. The first is Dreame Automotive, which comprises Bugatti-level sports cars. And the second is Starry Automotive, which is targeting models similar to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Dreame has outlined a dual-brand electric vehicle strategy targeting both ultra-high-performance cars and large luxury electric vehicles. The company has also revealed renders of a high-performance electric car and a large electric SUV positioned against established ultra-luxury competitors, with multiple models planned for release around 2027.
