Contrary to the expected development trend, the market sales of the SU7 Ultra, launched on February 27, 2025, showed a pattern of starting high and then declining. From March to August, monthly sales consistently ranged between 2,000 and 3,000 units and finally settling at under 45 units by last month
Sales of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, a high-performance variant of the SU7 electric sedan, plummeted to just 45 units in December 2025. This marks a sharp contrast to its peak performance in March, when 3,101 units were sold. In the initial launch period, the SU7 Ultra achieved the result of over 6,900 non-refundable orders within 10 minutes of sales opening, reaching the annual sales target of 10,000 units within 2 hours. From March to August, monthly sales consistently ranged between 2,000 and 3,000 units. However, a steep decline began in September, with only 488 units sold, further dropping to 130 in October, falling below 100 in November, and finally settling at 45 units by December.
Launched on February 27, 2025, with a price tag of 529,900 yuan ($76,370), the model positioning among the most expensive models from domestic brands. The vehicle boasts a triple-motor system, delivering a maximum output of 1,548 Cv, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s dimensions are 5115/1970/1465 mm with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The car’s rear spoiler has a width of 1,560 mm and a cord length of 240 mm. Together with an active rear diffuser, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra provides 285 kg downforce at high speeds.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra adopts 21-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero 5 tyres and 430-mm carbon ceramic brake discs in the front. These are the largest brake discs on a sports car to date. However, the Xiaomi SU7 is a heavy car with a curb weight of 2,360 kg. The rear brake discs of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra are slightly smaller at 410 mm. The maximum temperature of the ceramic brakes is said to be over 1300°C (2372°F).
The car has Akebono 6-piston calipers in the front axle and 4-piston calipers in the rear. Xiaomi claims that the SU7 Ultra can stop from 100 km/h in 30.8 meters.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the first Chinese car available on Gran Turismo 7 starting January 29, 2026, at 14:00 Beijing time (6:00 UTC). Gran Turismo 7, developed by Polyphony Digital for PlayStation platforms, is widely regarded as one of the world’s premier racing simulation games.
The title has featured over 500 meticulously recreated vehicles from prestigious global manufacturers, including Nissan, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-AMG. Until now, however, Chinese automotive brands have been absent from the game’s extensive roster. The inclusion represents an achievement for Xiaomi, which only recently entered the automotive market.
Contrary to the expected development trend, the market sales of the SU7 Ultra showed a pattern of starting high and then declining. The SU7 Ultra’s cumulative sales have surpassed 10,000 units, meeting Lei Jun’s initial target. However, the majority of these sales occurred in the first half of the year, with only approximately 3,000 units sold in the latter half.
Xiaomi EV established an exclusive sales team named "Ultra Master" for the SU7 Ultra at its launch, adopting sales strategies reminiscent of traditional ultra-luxury brands to provide potential owners with an in-depth, customized premium purchasing experience.
The job requirements specifically emphasized “experience in luxury car sales, with preference given to high-performance car sales experience.” Xiaomi Auto’s CEO, Lei Jun, also revealed that the Ultra sales team was carefully selected and had even participated in track driving training.
More importantly, Xiaomi also designed an independent back-end sales system for it, implementing a “one car, one team” model. Among the 112 stores in 42 cities nationwide, only authorized stores were equipped with this team, providing customized services such as one-on-one in-depth consultations, closed-site test drives, and exclusive vehicle delivery ceremonies.
Xiaomi EV's dedicated Ultra Master sales team for the SU7 Ultra was officially disbanded by the end of January, as sales continued to decline. The SU7 Ultra remains available for purchase in China, though now entry-level sales staff can handle its sales.
Following the dissolution of the Ultra Master sales team, some members chose to resign, while others were reassigned to sell other Xiaomi models like the regular SU7. This recent adjustment does not mean Xiaomi Auto is abandoning this model; the core reason remains optimizing resource allocation. Data indicates that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra cumulative deliveries surpassed 15,700 units in 2025, far exceeding the original sales target of 10,000 units.
