Zeekr opens pre-sales of its updated 7X Suv

Zeekr has commenced pre-sales in China for its updated Zeekr 7X family SUV with a more powerful electric motor and a larger battery pack. The Chinese EV maker has not officially disclosed the pre-sales pricing. Customers who pay a 2,000 yuan ($281) deposit to reserve the model now will receive a 7,000 yuan ($968) discount on the final payment

On October 20, Zeekr opened its new Zeekr 7X for pre-sales in China following the launch of the updated Zeekr 001 shooting brake earlier this month. Display models of the updated Zeekr 7X are now available at Zeekr showrooms across China, with the SUV's official launch set for October 28, the Chinese EV maker announced. The updated Zeekr 7X is built on a 900-volt high-voltage architecture, an upgrade from its predecessor's 800-volt platform, similar to the updated Zeekr 001.

The updated Zeekr 7X continues to offer three variants: a rear-wheel-drive Max version with a 75-kWh battery pack, a rear-wheel-drive Max version with a 103-kWh battery, and an all-wheel-drive Ultra version with a 103-kWh battery.

The 75-kWh version utilizes Zeekr's 800-volt Golden Battery, supporting a 5.5C charging rate that enables charging from 10 percent to 80 percent in 10.5 minutes. The battery pack delivers a CLTC range of 620 kilometers with energy consumption as low as 13.9 kWh per 100 kilometers. Its electric motor produces 370 kW (496 horsepower), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Both 103-kWh variants utilize CATL's 900-volt Qilin Battery, supporting 6C fast charging to reach 80 percent charge from 10 percent in 10 minutes. Its rear motor delivers 370 kW, while the front motor produces 215 kW, resulting in a combined output of 585 kW (784 horsepower) for the dual-motor version.

The 103-kWh rear-motor variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with an 802-km CLTC range. The all-wheel-drive variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.98 seconds, with a CLTC range of 715 kilometers. For reference, the previous RWD trim delivers 310 kW (416 hp) and 440 Nm, while the AWD delivers 475 kW (637 hp), paired with 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate and 100 kWh ternary lithium battery packs. The CLTC cruising ranges are 605 km, 705 km, and 780 km.

The exterior is available in seven paints with the appearance and dimensions consistent with the previous model: 4825/1930/1666 mm (l/w/h), and a wheelbase of 2925 mm. The curb weight ranges from 2,280 kg to 2,470 kg. The interior also remains largely unchanged with a 15.05-inch central control screen, a 13.02-inch LCD instrument cluster, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. Other configurations include sensor-based frameless automatic doors, privacy glass for the rear row, 355 mm rear seat electric leg rest, an onboard -6℃~50℃ refrigerator that supports both heating and cooling, and rear tables. Additionally, the rear row has 1187 mm of legroom.

The trunk volume is 905 L. There are also 40 storage slots throughout the interior. Zeekr has not disclosed the pre-sales pricing for the updated Zeekr 7X. Customers who pay a 2,000 yuan ($281) deposit to reserve the model now will receive a 7,000 yuan ($968) discount on the final payment.

The Zeekr 7X was initially launched in China on September 20, 2024, with a starting price of 229,900 yuan ($33,680), positioning as a competitor to Tesla's Model Y. The Zeekr 7X is the brand's second model targeting the mainstream EV market following the Zeekr 007 sedan, while its other models cater to niche segments in China. The Suv has been launched in international markets including Europe and Australia. “The Zeekr 7X will play a key role in our mission to accelerate the shift to sustainable mobility in Europe,” said Lothar Schupet, Zeekr Europe Chief Commercial Officer.
