The NIO ES6 and EC6 received similar upgrades. They include an updated Moon 3.0 exterior package that comes standard for the EC6 fastback crossover. It includes gray-painted badges and moldings. The new exterior trim is complemented by 20-inch rims. Another upgrade is blue lights that turn on when the NOA (Navigate On Autopilot) function is active. Both cars also offer a slightly larger air intake in the front bumper.
Interior of the ES6 and the EC6 got an upgraded driver’s seat with a zero-gravity function. By pushing a button, a seat will take a position that applies minimal stress on the spine. Both cars come standard with a dual-motor AWD for 360 kW (483 hp) and a 100 kWh battery for 630 – 655 km under CLTC conditions.

When unveiling the ET5 at NIO Day 2021 on December 18, 2021, NIO announced the launch of the Clean Parks initiative to support ecological conservation in environmentally sensitive areas. Founder, chairman, and CEO William Li pledged at the time to invest 100 million yuan ($14.1 million) over the following three years to support the adoption of EVs and the development of clean energy infrastructure in global nature reserves.
NIO would assist these areas in establishing self-sustaining, clean, low-carbon energy systems to preserve the authenticity and integrity of ecosystems. Clean Parks also functions as an open platform, with NIO discussing collaborations with multiple global environmental organizations, the company said at the time.
Over the following years, NIO established partnerships for this initiative with organizations including the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Danish Society for Nature Conservation, the Danish Nature Foundation, and China's Giant Panda National Park.
