Xiaomi delivered in China over 215,112 EVs in the first year after launch

The electric vehicle unit of Xiaomi, Beijing-based smartphone giant, announced today it delivered in China over 29,000 electric vehicles in March, making a new monthly record and has delivered over 215,112 cars in the first twelve months since launch (April 2024 – March 2025) 

Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle unit of Xiaomi, Beijing-based smartphone giant, announced today it delivered over 29,000 electric vehicles in March, making a new monthly record. This is the sixth consecutive month that Xiaomi EV has seen monthly deliveries exceed 20,000 units. Xiaomi only sells its EVs in China. Xiaomi EV officially launched its first car, the SU7 electric sedan, on March 28, 2024, which is a competitor to Tesla's Model 3, and deliveries started exactly one year ago on April 1. 

The Xiaomi SU7 sedan, which starts at 215,900 yuan ($29,700) has three trims – Standard, Pro and Max and a performance version, SU7 Ultra, which was launched in February 2025. Deliveries of the standard and Max (245,900 yuan) versions of the SU7 began in April 2024, and deliveries of the SU7 Pro (299,900) began in May 2024. In 2024, the regular SU7 received more than 248,000 locked-in orders and delivered more than 135,000 vehicles. 

Delivery of 200,000th Xiaomi car: SU7 in Magenta color

On March 18, the company announced it delivered its 200,000th car, the SU7 sedan, in Magenta colour. It took 229 days for the consumer electronic giant to deliver its first 100,000 cars and only 119 days to deliver another 100,000 units: in total, Xiaomi delivered 200,000 units in 348 days. 

With over 29,000 units delivered in March, Xiaomi has delivered over 215,112 cars in the first twelve months since launch (April 2024 – March 2025). SU7 Ultra packs 1,526 hp and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 1.98 seconds. It is equipped with a 93.7 kWh ternary battery from CATL, good for a 630 km range under CLTC conditions. The three motors deliver a top speed of 350 km/h. Ultra is Xiaomi’s shot at Porsche and other German premium brands in China. The starting price of the SU7 Ultra is 529,900 yuan ($72,900) and deliveries began on March 2. 

In addition to the SU7 and SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi is expected to launch the YU7 in June or July, an electric Suv that will compete with Tesla's Model Y. Xiaomi has only one plant, which is based in Beijing. It has an annual capacity of 150,000 units in the first phase, which was already finished in 2023. Once the second phase is completed, the plant will add another 150,000 units of annual output. Xiaomi EV said it is confident of reaching its annual delivery target of 350,000 units.
